Pupils at Queen Margaret Primary Academy enjoyed a wonderful day out at the seaside in Weston-super-Mare, thanks to a very kind donation from Joedan Windows and Doors.
The generous support meant that nearly all pupils at the academy were able to experience a memorable day at the beach, many of whom had never visited the seaside before.
The children made the most of their time by building sandcastles, creating beach artwork, flying kites, digging holes in the sand and enjoying a refreshing ice lolly.
As well as having fun and making special memories, the pupils developed their knowledge and vocabulary through exploring a new environment and experiencing the sights, sounds and activities of the seaside. They will be able to draw on these experiences to inspire and enrich their writing back in the classroom.
A spokesperson for Queen Margaret Primary Academy said: “We are incredibly grateful to Joedan Windows and Doors for their generous donation, which has given our pupils such a wonderful and memorable experience.
“For many of our children, this was their very first visit to the seaside, making the day particularly special. It was fantastic to see them exploring, playing, learning new vocabulary and creating memories together.
“Experiences like this can have such a positive impact on children’s learning, confidence and enthusiasm, and we are delighted that so many of our pupils were able to enjoy this opportunity.”
